About Our School
"Miami's Mega Magnet School"
Coral Reef Senior High School first opened it's doors to students in Richmond Heights, Florida in August 1997 for grades 9-12. Though the school only turned 20 in 2017, we have already accomplished so much for our students.

By 2008, Coral Reef was already nationally recognized as the top 19th school based on our AP and IB programs and test scores.
Today the school maintains a respectable 135th ranking and a Top Florida Blue Ribbon Public High School. We are also proud to be considered one of the top magnet schools in the nation (with six outstanding magnet programs to choose from). These programs include Agriscience & Engineering, Business & Finance, Health Sciences, International Baccalaureate, Legal & Public Affairs, and Visual & Performing Arts.

We serve over 3,300 students, over 80% considered minority. Our school is 67% Hispanic (any race), 18% White (non-Hispanic), 11% Black, 3% Asian, and 1% other races, and these students come from all of Miami-Dade county, accepted though application.
