Strengths and Challenges

Embracing Challenge

Some benefits of attending our school (aside from our stellar academic programs) include being a part of a high-work and income neighborhood. This a high-education neighborhood which means most adult residents have completed college. Therefore the chances of students going on to college is highly likely as a result. This community also has a high job density.

Due to a highly populated location, large classroom sizes (typically a ratio of 25:1) and over crowding (our school is at a Capacity Percentage of 126.16 %) may be a problem and students may have a difficult time focusing. Budget cuts have made it harder to provide the best education possible for our students. Less funding means smaller staffs, fewer resources and a lower number of services for students.
